The Mediahouse Story:

The Mediahouse Story:
From Incubation Experiment to Narrative Studio

We had positioned Mediahouse as a safe space for Hatch Academy graduates to find their footing — a house, in every sense of the word. The problem was that "safe space to grow" isn't a value proposition the market cares about. Clients want great work. And internally, we found ourselves taking on projects that didn't sit right with us — work we weren't proud of, briefs that didn't align with why we'd built this in the first place. The graduates felt it too. They needed more time to develop, and the pressure of commercial delivery wasn't always the right container for that.

  • “We've had the pleasure of working with Hatch Mediahouse before, and I’m confident we’ll continue the partnership. They not only built a strong working relationship with us but also took the lead in designing and optimizing our website, ensuring it clearly communicated our mission and engaged our audience effectively. Even within a short timeframe last year, they delivered impressive results that exceeded our expectations.
Beyond the website, Hatch has been incredibly resourceful—troubleshooting issues with our platforms when content on mental health faced restrictions, and offering solutions that kept our campaigns running smoothly. Their experience running mental health campaigns, combined with their work supporting websites and communications for other social impact organizations, makes them uniquely qualified to help us achieve meaningful impact.”
  • “Working with the team at Hatch was a truly wonderful experience. We were initially quite nervous about revamping our website, as it was our first time engaging a website developer.
From the very start, Angel provided clear guidance on critical details, and carefully considered factors like cost and explained the pros-cons of this transition.
Once we moved to the design phase, she seriously considered and incorporated our references and was incredibly responsive. She quickly implemented our feedback and showed great attention to detail. Overall, we are so glad we engaged Hatch to help us build our dream website!”
  • “Working with the Mediahouse team on our website revamp was honestly one of the best decisions we made this year.
Angel’s eye for design is sharp – she turned our abstract ideas into something that actually looked good while still feeling distinctly us. Playful but professional. She's also ridiculously responsive.
Beyond technical skills and design chops, Angel got what we were trying to do. Building a website for a youth-focused non-profit isn't just about aesthetics, it's about making people feel like they belong the second they land on the page. She understood that. She delivered that.
We're so pleased with what she built for us and would work with her again in a heartbeat.”
  • “From the outset, the Hatch team understood what KTM represents beyond the initiative itself: the relationships, intent, and small moments that enrich the shared journey.
The Hatch team had a strong instinct for what to focus on, and captured interactions that flowed. This allowed the story to unfold, naturally.
The process was thoughtful and responsive, grounded in care for people and context. This sensitivity mirrors how we work at Ray of Hope, and it comes through very clearly in the final product.”
