When young people with autism hit 18, they often lose the routines and support that helped them through their days. Project Kopi-Teh Makan (KTM) was launched to highlight this unnoticed issue and to encourage a more inclusive future.

Opening hearts and minds to an issue rarely discussed in Singapore.
Opening hearts and minds to an issue rarely discussed in Singapore.
While understanding of disabilities and intellectual disabilities is slowly growing, the lived experiences of PWDs and PWIDs after they turn 18 years old is not widely known.
Supported by Ray of Hope, Project Kopi-Teh Makan aimed to bring awareness to the realities often faced by people with autism as they transition into 'adulthood' at age 18, when they typically 'age out of the system'.
With this goal in mind, Hatch Media sought to transform heavy, text-based content into an easy-to-follow story that could educate and move mainstream audiences.

Clear sections and compelling content - outlining the problem, the gaps, the response, and drawing attention to real stories
Soft visuals and human-focused design to make information approachable;
Sesigned a single scroll-based storytelling journey that took readers from challenge to hope.

“From the outset, the Hatch team understood what KTM represents beyond the initiative itself: the relationships, intent, and small moments that enrich the shared journey. The Hatch team had a strong instinct for what to focus on, and captured interactions that flowed. This allowed the story to unfold, naturally. The process was thoughtful and responsive, grounded in care for people and context. This sensitivity mirrors how we work at Ray of Hope, and it comes through very clearly in the final product.”
