Heya… so erm this is my first time writing a blog post, and maybe it’s a bit of a learning journey for me too. But I really wanted to share about the Hatch website. P.S.T I did the site — nice right!!! Haha.
Haha so I wanted to share a little context about me first, I’m Angel, and I was from Hatch Immersive+ (now Kita Studios — you can read my story here). Long story short, it’s about how a young, lost girl found a career that felt meaningful to her, and how that helps her navigate life now. (By the way did you know that there were 3-4 version of the Hatch website in the past 2-3 years? Shocking right?)

If you want to know how we felt, here's a peek at our Slack channel — enjoy!
And on this version I hope you can feel our mission clearly… I had a lot of feelings going on while creating the website - it kinda reminded me of how far I’ve come… The previous version of the website felt wrong because it didn’t really show what Hatch was and htat what we were doing was important - it was very business-focussed and surface-level - you wouldn’t know why we’re doing what were doing. I guess it’s also about organisational growth - we evolve you know, and with the people around us right now we finally know what we are going to do. The main goal of me designing this site was storytelling: I hope audiences can feel why we do end to end employment, how inclusion is important, and why inclusion needs care and attention in Singapore.
One of the moment that hit different was the [About Us] section where we share what Hatch is - people from all sorts of backgrounds coming together with the same heart and goal in mind. It reminded me that Hatch doesn’t give up on its people, it shapes the organisation based on its people, by our very own talent. And that feels very rare in companies, maybe it’s because this is my first job, but Hatch has given me the space to figure things out - even if you are lost, not sure if you are doing something right, they help you to navigate.

Everybody is happy with our new branding and website! We stress-tested the website during one of our monthly huddle. Cheers!
So yes, I am part of this story, and everybody else in Hatch too. I’m not sure who will be visiting this website but if you do, I hope you feel something. What? You can tell me.

Angel is Strategic Projects Associate at Hatch - a new role that is much more exciting than it sounds. The youngest member of the Hatch, she's currently crowdsourcing ideas on how to mark her 21st year on the planet and remains unimpressed with the rest of the team's suggestions. (Get in touch if you can think you can do better!)
